Located in West orange, New Jersey, the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation is one of only a select few facilities to be designated a Model System for recovery from spinal cord injuries. As a Model System, Kessler is equipped to provide a comprehensive continuum of care at every stage of the recovery journey. Patients have access to nutritional counseling, comprehensive physical therapy, social support, and numerous research trials. Care is integrated across experts and teams, and family members are strongly encouraged to remain involved in the process. Kessler offers both inpatient and outpatient care, as well as assistance transitioning back to home life.
