A C7 quad from Orlando, Florida, Amanda Perla is a huge proponent of activity-based therapy post-SCI and her mother Liza founded NextStep Orlando Paralysis Recovery Center. Amanda is also engaged to be married later in 2019.
Paralyzed during a surgery to remove a tumor, Jessika Kattah has become a huge advocate of adaptive sports and activities since her injury. A Navy veteran, Troy Smith is a physical therapist at Stay in Step, an activity-based rehab center founded by Romy Camargo, a Green Beret veteran who was paralyzed in the line of duty and is a quadriplegic. Troy shares the great things they are doing at Stay in Step and how you can attend by utilizing financial assistance.
